The Very Best - Warm Heart of Africa

It seems that every time all 3 members of The Porch Sessions get in a car together this song comes on the radio.

Tony
With a request to use the phone, Tony found himself deep in porch country.  Fresh out of a 3 month stay in Alachua County Jail, Tony “lost his tongue,” with his women.  She kicked him to the curb, throwing all of his possessions out the window of her projects apartment.  Based on his t-shirt alone you could tell this man is a humorist (“once a cock, always a cock”), but last night he was clearly stressed. I reminded the newly homeless soldier to keep on keepin on.  Life’s a garden dig it.  He reaffirmed that the American dream is still alive and well.  After a few beers and 4 a.m. rolled around it was time for our new friend to hit the road.  Walking down the dusty porch steps Tony uttered “pray for me.” Here’s to you Tony, keep on fighting.

James Bradley
Last night this man, rolled by on his bike with a light attached to his head and gold teeth gleaming in the moonlight. He had just spent a year and a day in Raiford, but within a minute of hanging out with him it was apparent he was a good man. We kicked back and drank beers on the porch for an hour or two before he headed off on his way.

Phoenix - Lisztomania

It’s been stuck in my head for far too long now.

My sweet and sour feet haven’t touched the blue porch yet but I had to share this with everyone. I don’t know you. You don’t know me. But let’s be a big happy family.

A Radiohead tune has leaked and it’s managed to melt my face off with ease. Although I loved “In Rainbows”, it took a while for me to like it cos of its lukewarm grooves. Yet this song seems like a return to form with its kraut-rock influenced rhythm and general dark nature.

Well that’s it. Hope everyone’s having a grand ol’ time.
